In March this year we had a week's holiday in Tenerife. We arrived at the end of a spell of wintry weather and the mountains were at their spectacular best.

Highlight of the week (for me) was walking to the Altavista refuge on Mt. Teide and staying the night, leaving before dawn to climb to the summit and see the sunrise
